PRESS RELEASE:
Today, Custer County Sheriff Shannon Byerly announced lifting all fire restrictions for private and county owned property. With the recent snow and lower temperatures the fire danger throughout the county is negligible at this time.
We encourage all citizens to take advantage of the current conditions to remove any slash they currently have as there is no guarantee on what future weather will bring into the winter. Dry conditions could return if we do not continue to to receive moisture in the coming months.
As always, if you have any questions, please contact the Sheriff’s Office. Fire Department, or the Office of Emergency Management.
